Timothy’s recent body of work Realms, connects with the viewer in a way that is simultaneously universal to everyone, yet specific only to them. These cityscapes, landscapes, and seascapes painted in the Contemporary Realist manner all help to define the diverse nature of Timothy’s vision, interests, and artistic direction. His unique compositions and sophisticated color arrangements produce a glow that radiates from the surface of the canvas. There is an interesting dichotomy in the imagery between form and atmosphere, tension and release, action and solitude. These paintings connect the viewer not only to a unique location, but to a specific time of day, specific season, certain emotions and feelings associated with weather and climate, and a psychological connection to their own lives and travels.
