About the Artist

Katie Antonazzo is a self-taught mixed-media artist. Relying on her experience with watercolor, she has translated its properties and methodologies to develop her own mixed-media method. Katie explores how the combination of synthetic polymer mediums, dry pigments and pastels work across canvas and wood panels.

Her contemporary visual art is bold and intriguing, making it a favorite of interior designers and personal collectors.

“I work using a layering method to achieve a certain translucency. I enjoy exploring how each layer of paint lays on top of each other to create texture, interest, and depth.”

Katie lives in Apex, North Carolina with her husband and two sons.
